The poster design contest commemorates the magic of Satyajit Ray in an ongoing momentous celebration, marking 100 years of Ray. The contest opens door to Ray’s world, giving first-hand opportunity for participants to experience Ray and his work that had him don many creative hats; as an illustrator, calligrapher, music composer, and a graphic designer.
The poster design contest is based on the theme; ‘The One and Only Ray’. Participants are required to make their own version of a poster of a film by Satyajit Ray (directed by him or made on him). The typography in the poster design can be made in any one of the 22 official Indian languages with transcript (in verbatim) in Hindi & English. The content of the poster design should be suitable for universal viewing and must not contain any provocative, objectionable, or inappropriate content since the design is intended for showcasing to all age groups in India. This contest is open only for Indian Citizens, 18 years or above in age as on 8th September, 2022.

Industry experts in the field of art, illustration, graphic design, film making and storytelling will adjudicate the contest.
A person who identifies as a creative artist with or without a formal training in the art forms such as graphic design, illustration, painting, sketching, drawing, digital art while making use of industry standard mediums and tools are eligible to participate.
Participation to the poster design contest is through the website and is online only. Create your own version of poster inspired by Ray’s film and submit your entry.

Participation in the poster design contest is free and any such claims shall not be entertained.
No, participation does not allow access to IFFI or Film Bazaar. However, you can make a separate registration and payment (non-refundable, exclusive of any/all bank processing charges) for attending IFFI, subject to availability of tickets/badges. IFFI registration does not allow access to the Opening and Closing ceremonies and Special Events. Further, separate registration to Film Bazaar can also be made via its website.
No, but if you are declared the winner, 1st runner up, 2nd runner up and featured as recipients of Certificate of Appreciation, your design will be displayed at IFFI 2022 for general viewing.
